This post will be a quickie… (honey get yo mind out of the guttah!) … but very soon we will flood you, overwhelm you, INUNDATE you with some amazing footage and pics from our release day epicness. We’ve just been catching up on sleep. :]
Back to the quickie – Home:Word is now available on iTunes and Amazon!! This is actually the very first Magnetic North album to get on iTunes and Amazon (damn that pesky copyright thing on Drift Away…) so preview, buy, and please shoot us a review! Because we have no idea what you think about the album. I mean if this were elementary school and you started picking on us and punching us then obviously you like us, but we aren’t in elementary school anymore so an itunes/amazon review will have to do. Haha.
Love ya fam!

Derek and T-VU, I was listening to your guys’ Magnetic North – 2nd Edition CD when I realized the track, “Doin’ Just Fine”, wasn’t on there O:. Will you guys release a single on it? Or are there copyright problems on that too? :[ Because I’d really like to listen to it. Oh yeah, I heard it on YouTube haha. Thanks!!
No copyright issues on Doin’ Just Fine, it’s a solo track that Derek made but never got placed on an album. I’ll talk to him and see if maybe he’ll put it up for download for ya :]

Gladly appreciated T-Vu!! Thanks for the fast reply :3.
P.S. be lovin’ the Summertime MV, so cute!! xD
1) Versatility:
I think the album is DEF.
Whether you’re a fan of hard-hitting/conscious hiphop, pop, rnb, soul, ballads, or even rock, this album has it all!
2) Group effort:
As if the teamup of MNxTN wasn’t enough, the trio brings in the likes of Conchita Campos and Heather Park to sing hooks! And speaking of guests, Sam Kang’s vocals on Home:Word…WOW!
I thought that Taiyo would handle more singing-duties, with his unique voice, but it’s cool that the trio chose to showcase other awesome singers as well!
3) Quality-over-quantity:
Like most fans, I wish that the cd was longer (it is 8 songs, plus 2 talk spots-deep), but when you factor in the quality of each track, it is quite understandable as to why.
4) Replay value : 10/10
Easily my favorite album of 2010, so far. I’ve already played it about 30 times. I did not get tired of any of the tracks.
It’s experimental, original, gutsy, empowering, and uplifting at the same time.
I assume that you guys will soon be off to continue working on your individual projects, but please make more albums together! The chemistry is nice!
Suggestion for future effort :
A track called “role reversal”… Taiyo raps and MN sings! lol
