To celebrate, we’ve put up some never before seen live footage of MNTN + the Home:Word House band at last year’s Album Release show (featuring Geologic from the Blue Scholars) and this year’s Holla For Japan event (where we raised $8675 for the International Rescue Committee). In celebration of APIA Heritage Month we wanted to make this video a dedication to all the amazing people in our community. We reached out to entertainers, activists, teachers, students, actors, designers, dancers, writers, poets, bloggers, community organizers, anyone and everyone who gives our community strength, depth, beauty.

A big warm THANK YOU goes out to everyone who supported our benefit concert last Saturday, HOLLA FOR JAPAN. We packed the Bitter End to its fullest, and the vibe was nothing short of frakkin amazing. And that’s what HOLLA is all about! Good vibes with good people for a good cause.

The final total of money raised on Saturday is still being calculated as we are still receiving a few notable donations. We will release those numbers soon!

Our good friends Davidian Shaw and the Three Half Collective also donated their time and expertise and filmed the entire concert as well as the rehearsals. We will be posting those videos up shortly.

In the meantime, I’d like to share a 4 part redux video series of our previous HOLLA event, HOME FOR THE HOLLA’DAYS II, that took place in San Jose, California, on December 18th, 2010. Filmed by the Three Half Collective, and edited by yours truly, we hope you enjoy this inside look. There will be many more of these videos to come!
